Ammonia Decomposition CAT
AD-946 Ammonia Decomposition Catalyst is developed by Weihua and Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences.This product can directly replace Germany G-117 catalyst with unique performance of great catalytic activity, high mechanical strength, and excellent thermal and caking resistance. It is used in the ammonia decomposing furnaces to decompose NH3 and HCN into N2, H2 and CO2, so as to effectively purify the coke-oven gas for the sake of environmental protection and prevent the equipment from corrosion.

Nh3→0.5H2+1.5H2
2HCN+2H2O+O2→N2+H2+2CO2

Maximum teperature: 1350℃

4. Notes

l AD-946 Ammonia Decomposition Catalyst is produced under the environment of more than 1400, when the reaction temperature is lower than 1400, the catalyst won’t clinker or transform. But when in practical applications, the best reaction temperature should be 1000-1100, do not proceed under the environment of more than 1100 or the active components of the catalyst may sinter and disappear, resulting a drop of the catalytic performance.

l Since there are remains of H2S and a little organic matters in the ammonia gas of coke oven, it is suggested not to operate under the normal temperature to prevent the coking of the catalyst and the sulfur poisoning, or generating some kinds of salts that block the pipelines, affecting the performance of the catalyst eventually

l The catalyst is very sensitive to vapor in the temperature of 300-500 , the catalytic performance will drop because of the vapor reaction, even leads to chalking. So when turn on or off the machines, it is a must to use dry air if the temperature is under 600.

 

5. Package

Steel drum or wood drum with inner plastic films, placed in dry air to avoid moisture, which may cause a drop of crushing resistance index.
